About the HIV Wake-up website

Men who have sex with men are at particular risk of catching HIV. The HIV Wake-up website aims to provide information about the importance of HIV testing primarily to this group in Scotland. However, the information is also relevant to anyone who has HIV, is at risk from HIV or would like to know more about HIV testing.

The website also provides access to HIV services in Scotland and links to other sources of information and research.

The HIV Wake-up website was produced by NHS Health Scotland in partnership with HIV Scotland, and some content has been adapted, with permission, from material originally published on the HIV Scotland website (external site), the Sexual Health Scotland website (external site) and the Health Protection Scotland website (external site).

About HIV Scotland

HIV Scotland is a national voluntary agency that seeks to improve the health and well-being of people living with HIV and affected communities, and to prevent the spread of HIV infection.

Working across all sectors and areas of Scotland, HIV Scotland is able to link professionals, organisations and individuals to expert HIV tools and information in order to meet the HIV-related needs of people in Scotland (prevention, treatment and care).
